About Shreyank
Shreyank Byadagi is a Principal Engineer at Lokta and one of its founding members, with twelve years in backend engineering for lending and financial services.
He started on a commercial lending platform built on Apache Fineract as an intern in 2014, building a micro-ATM for rural banking, and returned twice: as a junior engineer writing REST APIs for the loan management system, and later as a full-stack developer who built its notification framework, integrated the CRIF High Mark credit bureau into loan approval, and put its AWS infrastructure under code. Between those stints he built an IoT platform for T-Mobile USA at Ericsson and a predictive-maintenance application for HP presses. He then spent four and a half years as a software engineer at TIAA.
He contributed to the Mifos Initiative’s open-source lending platform for three and a half years, with a focus on documentation, and mentored students for Mifos through Google Code-in in 2016. His focus at Lokta is financial systems that hold up under a security review and leave a complete audit trail behind them.
