What lenders ask about the price
Is ₹100 crore, or USD 10 million, the smallest book Lokta will take?
No. It is the largest book Starter covers. A lender with ₹5 crore of assets qualifies, and so does a new licence with no loans yet, which also skips the migration fee. Below the ceiling there is no floor.
What does 1 basis point a month come to in money?
One hundredth of one percent of assets, each month. In India that is ₹1,000 a month for every crore. A ₹250 crore book pays ₹2.5 lakh a month. Outside India it is USD 100 a month for every USD 1 million, so a USD 30 million book pays USD 3,000 a month.
When does a Starter lender start paying the platform fee?
Billing starts at the earlier of average monthly assets above the ceiling for two consecutive months, or the 24 months ending. One month above the ceiling does not start the meter on its own. After that the Scale-up rate applies.
How are assets measured for the fee?
As the average for the calendar month, worked out by the platform from its own ledger. The figure is principal outstanding, and it includes written-off loans, your share of co-lent loans, and loans you have assigned or securitised that Lokta still services.
Where is the book hosted?
In-region, on cloud infrastructure in or near your market, with the data kept there. The data belongs to you and can be exported. A lender that wants the platform inside its own cloud account takes a VPC deployment on Enterprise, shipped as Docker images on AWS or another cloud.
What sets a Scale-up implementation fee inside the USD 5,000 to 10,000 range?
Two things: how much history has to move across from the system you use today, and how many outside systems the platform has to connect to, such as banks, bureaus, payment gateways and accounting. Both are measured during the migration assessment, which ends in a written plan.
Which lenders need Enterprise rather than Scale-up?
A lender that wants the platform inside its own VPC, runs more than one entity on it, needs integrations built to its own specification, has to put the contract through a procurement and security review, or wants engineers assigned to its account. The price follows that scope, so it is quoted after the scoping call.
Can a lender outside India take Starter?
Yes. The ceiling is about USD 10 million, or the local equivalent, and every other Next 100 condition travels with it: 24 months with no platform fee, 2 new implementations a month, the one-time migration and bank-integration fees, and the exclusion of pure-play microfinance lenders.
Is AI usage part of the platform fee?
No. Metered AI is a separate line on the invoice. It does not switch on until you approve it, and it is billed on what you use. The loan record does not depend on it: the deterministic core posts every change whether AI is on or off.
Do the prices include tax?
No. Every fee on this page is quoted before tax, and applicable taxes are added to the invoice. For lenders in India that means GST.
Who cannot take Starter?
Pure-play microfinance NBFCs, and any lender whose assets are already above the ceiling at enrolment. Starter also takes 2 new lenders a month, so a lender who applies when a window is full starts in the next one.
