About Ashok
Ashok Auty co-founded Lokta in 2026 and, as Chief Customer Officer, leads implementation: when a lender moves its book onto the platform, he is the person accountable for the plan and the cut-over.
He started at IBM in 2006 and spent five years at Fidelity Investments as a senior software engineer. In 2012 he co-founded Finflux, a commercial lending platform on Apache Fineract, and ran it as Chief Operating Officer for ten years, through the years when Fineract itself grew out of Mifos X, entered the Apache Incubator in 2015 and became a Top-Level Project of the Apache Software Foundation in April 2017. He mentored for the Mifos Initiative through Google Summer of Code along the way. When M2P Fintech acquired Finflux in 2022, he stayed three more years as a Senior Vice President, running integrations, customer management and onboarding for the lenders on it.
Running those systems in production taught him three things he has written up in full: overnight batch runs stall once automation arrives, per-module data models leave people reconciling by hand, and bolt-on integrations harden into debt nobody can audit. Lokta is a new codebase, not a fork of Fineract, and those lessons set its shape: money moves on a deterministic core, agents propose the work, and the lender’s policy decides it.
